This course has taught me about the importance of recognizing the fact that students need educated on social responsibility and all of the accompanying concepts that come with the role of being a responsible technology user in today's world. Educators duty to impart social responsibility on our students has never been so crucial as many of our students are utilizing technology outside of the classroom while also being held to a high expectation of technology utilization within the classroom as well. Blog: Security of Data in the Future

The protection of student privacy is becoming a factor that school districts have to consider as technology education is becoming normalcy within the majority of K-12 classrooms throughout the United States. In fact, Alhazmi et. al (2022) discusses the relevance of security of data by stating, "Intellectual security has become one of the most important challenges facing the world in light of the rapid and great repercussions of globalization" (p. 1). As society has adopted technology into everyday functioning in both work and schools, it has become a requirement for districts to ensure that they are protecting the privacy of their students identities as they work and interact within online learning platforms.
